Paola 442.475 Joins K-Link!

The Paola repeater on 442.475+ (151.4) has joined K-Link. This repeater provides coverage in portions of Northeast Kansas. Some cities served by the repeater include:

  • Ottawa
  • Louisburg
  • Paola
  • Osawatome
  • Spring Hill
  • Gardner
  • Olathe
  • Garnett

The repeater also has some coverage along portions of I-70 between Lawrence and Kansas City.

This repeater links into the K-Link Network via Allstar.

The Paola node seems to be a fine addition to the system. I drove from Iola up to Ottawa this evening, and was able to hear the Paola system starting at about Colony (about 12 miles south of Garnett) all the way up to Ottawa! For a 440 machine, it’s got some pretty good coverage!

Thanks for that. It does seem to have good “ears”. It has a preamp on the receiver that makes it hear well. The repeater itself is a Motorola MSF5000.
